Venice, Italy

It is hard to imagine a thriving city without the presence of automobiles, gasoline, and exhaust fumes, but it exists! Venice operates on a vaporetta, system in place of the metro systems of other European cities. The Grand Canal weaves through the history and the homes of Venetians, while moving tourists and business men alike. Famous for glass blowing, Murano is a short vaporetta ride from Venice and worth the trip for elaborate and unique Venetian glass gifts. Tour the Basilica di San Marco during the day and return to the Piazza San Marco in the evening for dinner and dancing. Give your dancing shoes a rest and take a gondola ride to experience relaxation and beauty together.

*Many of the sites provide information that will be helpful for your preparation for visiting the city. Additionally, these sites may prove valuable while you are in the specific city with the group, i.e. weather forecasts, city maps, etc. We encourage you to save these sites and visit them prior to venturing out on your own on what may be a national holiday!
